JAKARTA-..City Secretary People’s Welfare Acting Assistant, Hendra Hidayat, released 100 Da’i ambassadors and 100 Tarawih Imam ambassadors for Ramadhan 1446 Hijri/2025 at the Mental Spiritual Graha, Central Jakarta, Friday (2/28).

This program is a collaboration between the Jakarta Government, Baznas Bazis Jakarta, and Language and Qur’an Science Institute (LBIQ) that takes place every year during Ramadhan.
The theme taken is ‘Ramadhan Outreach in Jakarta: A Means to Explore Wisdom and Attain Blessings in Welcoming 5 Centuries of Jakarta’. It reflects the spirit of enlivening Ramadhan in Jakarta, while also exploring the wisdom contained in the worship of Ramadhan, and gaining abundant blessings.

He expressed his gratitude to the leaders of religious institutions involved in this annual program, particularly the Baznas Bazis, LBIQ, Coordination of Islamic Da’wah (KODI) Jakarta, Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) Jakarta, and others who have participated in promoting Ramadhan through collaboration.
“May what we do always be valuable worship in the sight of God. Do it sincerely and wholeheartedly, and with full responsibility in providing the best service and appearance as Ambassadors of the Imam and Ambassadors of Da’i, thus a solemn, safe, and peaceful atmosphere of Ramadhan can be created,” he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta Government’s press release, Friday (2/28).
He hoped that there would be an increase in the number of participants in the Da’i Ambassador Program in the coming years, following the number of mosques and musala (prayer rooms) in Jakarta. He also entrusted a message to them in socializing government programs through preaching materials to the community. Besides benefiting the community, this also serves as motivation for mosque imams to improve the quality of worship.
“Alhamdulillah (thank God), praise be to God, the demand for the Tarawih Imam ambassadors in several mosques and musala in Jakarta has increased. This program is highly anticipated. Many mosques and musala in Jakarta are requesting their presence again. Their recitation of the holy verses can create a more solemn atmosphere for the Tarawih prayers,” he concluded.
This activity was also attended by Baznas Bazis Jakarta Chairman, Ahmad Abubakar; Bureau Acting Head for Education and Spiritual Mental, Aceng Zaeni; as well as representatives from MUI Jakarta, DMI Jakarta, Kodi Jakarta, the Institute for the Development of Quranic Recitation (LPTQ) Jakarta, and the Center for Islamic Studies and Development Jakarta (PPIJ) for Jakartaslamic Center.
