Indonesia Really Helps Palestine

Jakarta – Indonesia is one of the countries that contributes large amounts of aid in any form to Palestine. Since 2011, Indonesia has established the Indonesian Hospital in Bait Lahiya, North Gaza.

However, after Palestine was again bombarded by Israel, Indonesia continued to raise aid and increased the amount of aid because the residents of Gaza City were in trouble.

The fact is that the Palestinian state was bombarded by Zionist Israel and resulted in the death of many civilians, especially children.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo is angry with the increasingly destroyed condition of Gaza. Jokowi criticized, condemned and urged the Israeli Zionist aggression to stop immediately.

Prior to that, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi also firmly defended Palestine at the United Nation (UN).

Fundraising actions continue to be carried out by the Indonesian people to help Palestine.

The aid was channeled through official institutions, including the Nusantara Palestine Center (NPC) Foundation which brought aid directly to the Gaza Strip.

Bang Onim NPC Volunteers in Palestine

NPC supervisor Abdillah Onim, usually called Bang Onim, has been in Gaza City for a long time serving as a volunteer bringing aid.

He also recorded the atmosphere that occurred in the Gaza Strip to be uploaded to the media.

A number of television media based in Indonesia continue to communicate with Onim to update actual news and facts. Apart from Onim, there is also another volunteer named Husein in Palestine.

Husein volunteers for the Mer-C Indonesia organization and is in the midst of a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. However, yesterday Onim was reported to have been evacuated to Rafa, Egypt.

Other information is that residents in various provinces in Indonesia have so far continued to raise funds to be distributed to Palestine. Some of the fundraising proceeds have been distributed.

Current conditions in Gaza

In fact, a number of elements of society who are members of the Indonesian People’s Alliance will hold a Grand Action to Defend Palestine which will take place at the National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta, Sunday (5/11/2023) coming.

There will be a number of orations from interfaith figures including the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).

“Tomorrow we will gather at Monas on the 5th, that the Indonesian people, the government, the people condemn and are angry with what Israel is doing in Palestine,” said the Chairman of the MUI for Da’wah, Cholil Nafis, as reported by CNN Indonesia.

Meanwhile in Aceh Province, western Indonesia, dozens of children and teenagers held a demonstration as a form of solidarity for Palestine at the Simpang Lima Roundabout, Banda Aceh, Thursday (2/11/2023).

A similar action was also carried out by protesters who stepped on the Israeli Zionist flag and a photo of United States President Joe Biden during an action to defend Palestine in Medan, North Sumatra, Friday (27/10/2023).

The Indonesian people did all this as a form of support for the Palestinian people who were grieving as a result of being bombarded by Zionist Israel. Then a number of Indonesian activists also carried out solidarity actions for Palestine in the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout area, Jakarta, in Friday Night.

These actions were carried out at every point in Indonesia. They are really angry with Israel for fighting Palestine blindly.

As is known, the relationship between Indonesia and Palestine is a very close and intimate relationship because of the similarities in the countries and world support for Palestinian independence.

Gaza residents are evacuating victims buried in buildings

Indonesia refuses to recognize the state of Israel until an agreement on a two-state solution is reached between Israel and Palestine.

Indonesia strongly defends the rights and freedoms of the Palestinian people and supports the struggle of the Palestinian people.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al Maliki thanked Indonesia for always helping the Palestinian people. Riyad conveyed these thanks to Indonesia through Minister Retno Marsudi some time ago.
